T.M. Sinclair Society
“I’ve always believed in giving back to the community. United Way’s partnership with various agencies in the community has been a terrific way to touch many organizations that provide much needed services. The Sinclair Society is a natural progression of my involvement with United Way.” - Gilda Boyer
The T.M. Sinclair Society, founded as the One Plus Club, was renamed in 1983 to honor a Cedar Rapids area founding father, Thomas M'Elderry Sinclair. Individuals or couples who annually give $1,000 or more qualify for membership in the T.M. Sinclair Society. In 2006, giving rose 11.2%. The 1,835 members of the T.M. Sinclair Society contributed just over $2 million, representing 21.4% of the total campaign.
