Women's Leadership Initiative

Vision
The Women's Leadership Initiative unites women and demonstrates their caring power to effect positive community change.
Initiative
Health care is a major concern for women in east central Iowa. This becomes true for vulnerable populations, such as single women with children. United Way is working in partnership with the Community Health Free Clinic to provide prescription assistance and emergency dental care for women most in need.

In 2008, we had 164 members, who raised over $102,258 to support this initiative. Click here to view the 2008 recognition piece. For a designated gift of $500 or more, current members and other interested individuals can be a part of this exceptional, talented group of women leaders. Your investment to the WLI will support women's health project in our community.
