United Way created this program for individuals or couples (40 years or younger) who contribute to United Way at a leadership level. The graduated leadership levels for new members are:

This program is designed to recognize new community leaders and to offer tomorrow's leaders the opportunity to begin serving the community through their financial gifts. Contributed dollars from Young Leaders are focused on youth development programs. The Young Leaders Society has 686 members who contributed over $405,000 in 2008.
The Young Leaders Society expressed an interest in doing a project focused on early childhood and youth development. A portion of the dollars raised in 2008 have been used to support Born Learning, a unique and innovative public engagement campaign that helps to create quality learning opportunities for young children.
