Fields Appointed Vice Chair for ICVS
Patti Fields, Director of Community Impact for the United Way of Johnson County, has been selected vice chair of the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service (ICVS). Ms. Fields was appointed to the commission by Gov. Chet Culver, and has served on the commission's program development committee since her appointment in 2008.
The vice chair is a member of the commission's executive committee, and is involved in developing legislative requests, administrative budget oversight, executive oversight and review, ensuring progress toward the state service plan and review overall operations, partnerships and potential opportunities for service in Iowa.
"Across the state, the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors is in every community," said Ms. Fields in a press release. "I continue to be amazed by the commitment and dedication of volunteers, and I am honored to serve on the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service to promote and develop volunteerism in Iowa."
