Jeff never thought it would happen to him: He lost his job. He, his wife and two children were evicted and didn’t think they had any place to turn. Jeff had nearly lost all hope when he called United Way 2-1-1. The 2-1-1 trained specialists helped find the family immediate shelter and hot meals, then ultimately, affordable housing, childcare and financial counseling.
Today, Jeff has the resources to help him meet his family’s basic needs while completing a job training program. Jeff and his family are rebuilding their lives thanks to the community services he found through United Way 2-1-1.
