We held our Because of You Thank You Reception on Tuesday, August 22 at Eastbank Lounge in Cedar Rapids. It was a great opportunity to bring together and thank our leadership donors.
After arriving at the event, guests took on the task of making hygiene kits. Kits included essentials like shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and more. We also encouraged them to write inspiring notes to those who will receive the kits. Together, attendees assembled 400 hygiene kits which we donated to Waypoint.

Next, Waypoint representative, Meghan Zalewski, spoke about the nonprofit’s programs and how the hygiene kits that we helped put together will cover their needs for an entire month. Afterwards, Tim Stiles, President & CEO, wrapped up the event with some parting words encouraging others to not only continue their roles as leadership members, but to also give their time and talent to a cause they care about.
