Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you do for fun?
Playing games (board, lawn, and video varieties), cooking and eating, camping, reading (especially comic books), and watching zombie movies.
What’s something unique that people don’t know about you?
This past March, I got married in Des Moines. We served pie instead of cake at the reception. We honeymooned in Belgium.
What do you love most about working at United Way?
Having a chance to be a part of the community and reach so many people.
Outside of United Way, how are you involved in the community?
I volunteer at both the African American Museum and Cedar Valley Humane Society.
What is some of the best advice you have received?
Slow down.
