What are Days of Impact?
Days of Impact engages campaign companies to impact education, financial stability and health community needs through volunteerism. Only UWECI funded programs will be invited to submit volunteer opportunities for Days of Impact. Volunteer projects will be mission focused, engage smaller groups (4-10 volunteers) and may directly or indirectly support kids, families, and elderly individuals in our communities. Days of Impact projects are more short-term, ranging from 1-2 hours or up to a half-day.
Unlike Day of Caring, Days of Impact will not feature projects that include painting, landscaping or general clean up projects.
Days of Impact may include:
- Reading to kids
- Delivering meals or packing food boxes
- Moving homeless into housing
- Assembling literacy or S.T.E.A.M. kits
- Mock interviews for clients seeking employment
- Sorting donations for clients
- Hosting a diaper drive
Days of Impact runs from September 15 through October 29 . If you would like to learn more about participating in Days of Impact or have questions, contact Angelica Vannatta by emailing angelica.vannatta@uweci.org or calling 319 398-5372 ext. 822.
