Quotes from our Youth Advisory Board members:
“Pack the Bus was a great experience to be such a big help to get backpacks to kids, so they are ready for school.”
“For our Youth Advisory Board, Pack the Bus was the first small step towards something so much bigger than us. Giving something to your community is what our team is all about.”
What we do
We support kids by ensuring they have access to educational resources, like early childhood learning, out-of-school opportunities, and a path to college and career.
Pack the Bus Supply Drive
Pack the Bus brings organizations together to support local students so they are set up for a successful school year.
Youth Advisory Board
The Youth Advisory Board is a collaborative group with UWECI, Kids on Course, and the Cedar Rapids Community School District that is committed to elevating the voices of young people in our community.
Funded Partner Programs
Creating lasting chance takes more than one organization. UWECI works alongside local partners to identify our community’s greatest needs, brings the right people and partners together, and invest in solutions that help every person and every community thrive.
Benton County Project Group
In Benton County, the Project Group supported Belle Plaine Elementary by cutting out 8,000 cars and 1,070 awards for a classroom point system, giving students a fun way to earn rewards and stay engaged.
