Advocate

When you use your voice to advocate for change, you support our mission of fostering a sustainable and equitable community for all.

Programs such as Board Orientation Leadership Development (BOLD) and Civil Circle actively involve community members in addressing issues or causes you are passionate about, providing an opportunity to invest your time, talent, and energy in championing social impact, and advocating for solutions that make a lasting impact. Women United, a UWECI leadership society, focuses on uniting funds, voices and action to ensure the health and well-being of all women in our community.

There are many ways to advocate for the causes you are most passionate about through UWECI. The areas listed below are just some of the ways you can be involved and make a difference.

Board Orientation Leadership Development

Serving on a board is a fulfilling leadership opportunity to support an issue, cause, or interest while enhancing your professional skills. Our BOLD programs offer two pathways, tailored for either community members or college students, to equip you with the skills to serve your community.

United We Vote

Civic engagement is at the heart of what UWECI does, bringing together community voices to solve problems in a non-partisan manner. Our United We Vote campaign is a call to action to register to vote and be an informed voter with resources to overcome barriers in voting. Using your vote as your voice is critical in creating change in your community.
