Emerging Leaders United (ELU) brings together the next generation of community leaders who are passionate about making a difference. As a group of driven individuals who value growth, connection, and giving back, members are committed to strengthening our community and inspiring others to do the same.

ELU believes in their ability to create meaningful change. Through this network, young professionals have the opportunity to build connections, grow as leaders, and play an active role in shaping the future of our community.
In ELU, we aim to:
- Foster leadership development opportunities for emerging professionals
- Increase volunteerism and community engagement
- Promote advocacy for local needs through awareness and education
- Generate fundraising to support Youth Opportunity, ELU activities, and UWECI initiatives
- Maintain a strong, active membership of committed individuals and community partners
Membership Requirements
- Invest $250 annually with United Way of East Central Iowa
- And/or individuals who have been sponsored by their employer
