If your household income is less than $67,000, you may qualify for VITA’s services.

Required Documents

  1. Government photo ID for the client and spouse
  2. Social Security card for the client and all household members
  3. All current year tax documents
  4. Prior year’s tax returns

Depending upon your situation, you might have:

  1. Wage and earning statements (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-NEC) from all employers
  2. Interest and dividend statements from banks (Forms 1099)
  3. 1099-G for unemployment or state tax refunds
  4. Total paid for daycare provider and the daycare provider’s tax identifying number, such as their Social Security number or business Employer Identification Number
  5. Form 1095-A, Affordable Health Care Statements, if anyone used ACA
  6. 1098-T and statement of expenses, if attending college
  7. Proof of bank account – routing and account numbers for direct deposit, such as a blank check
  8. Other IRS and state tax documents you received

How do I schedule an appointment?

Appointments are not open currently. When they do, schedule yourself in three easy steps:

  1. Go to uweci.org/VITAclient and click on the link that says “Schedule Appointment”
  2. Select your preferred location and time
  3. Enter your information and click the green box at the bottom to finalize your appointment

What if I can’t schedule myself?

Once appointments are open, we will have more information.

Where do I go for my appointment?

There will be appointments available throughout Linn and Jones counties.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No, we do not accept walk-ins; you must schedule an appointment with us to have your taxes done.
