About the program
The Transportation Program is for Jones County residents 55+ who have non-emergency medical appointments outside of the county. Volunteer drivers provide free transportation to medical appointments, keeping individuals independent and living at home.
Getting Involved
The Jones County Volunteer Center is always looking for volunteers to help serve as drivers for the Transportation Program for Jones and Benton counties.

By serving as a driver in this program, you will receive mileage reimbursement. In addition to that benefit, volunteers in the Transporation Program also receive:
- Opportunity to meet some of their neighbors
- Pride in giving back to their local community
- Satisfaction in making a difference in the lives of individuals who are in need of transportation assistance
- Helping keep their neighbors living their best and independent lives at home
